Not the greatest, but still helpful.. Bonaparte was fiercely devoted to his scientific efforts, though drawn away from them by radical politics. There is a helpful balance of illustrations and sidebars that reinforce the content. Some I have really enjoyed, one I haven't at all, and a couple I have felt ambivalent about. The whole silent-movie vibe is great, but when your characters look alike, things can get confusing. .
