Kukogho Iruesiri Samson was born in Aiyetoro, Ile Ife on the 27th of December 1984 to parents who both hail from Delta State in Nigeria. The third child and son in a family of four children, he grew up in different parts of the country, living in more than 10 states. He speaks Yoruba, Hausa, and a spattering of Igbo, Nupe and Uhrobo. He’s currently a Senior Associate at Pulse Nigeria, and the C.E.O. of Words Rhymes & Rhythm Limited, a new publishing firm based in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria.
Potential readers who are not familiar with Barron’s work need not worry. I gulped it down like a puppy at a pond. At no time did it feel like a cheap imitation of Laird Barron's work, but rather a unique and wonderful celebration of all that makes him a wonderful storyteller. Hermits? Not so much.
